Frequently Asked Questions

What does extended coverage mean?

The head is listed to protect a larger floor area than a standard spray sprinkler of the same K factor, using a deflector designed for a wider throw at the documented flow and pressure points.

Where can extended coverage sprinklers be used?

In light-hazard occupancies — offices, hotels, hospitals and similar spaces — where the design standard permits extended spacing. The layout must follow the coverage curves in the datasheet.

How do the design flows work?

Each variant publishes spray envelopes at 26, 29, 32 and 36 GPM (98 – 136 LPM). The designer picks the curve matching the required density and checks the available pressure at the head.

Should I specify standard or quick response?

Quick response (3 mm bulb) is the usual choice in the light-hazard occupancies where extended coverage applies, but standard response (5 mm) versions are available where the design calls for them.

Which sizes and finishes are offered?

Half-inch and three-quarter-inch NPT threads with K5.6 or K8.0 orifices, in brass, chrome or white finishes at 57, 68 or 79 °C temperature ratings.
